FRAN'S FITNESS CLASS FILLED THURSDAY

Yesterday I tried a new Fitness Class and really enjoyed it. The Class that I tried was "Pilates". It was fun. We did a bit of Cardio and used some weights. I grabbed the 5LBS but then changed to the 2LBS. Even with the 2LBS it was quite the workout. We lay on the floor and did "butterfly curls". Not sure if that's what it is called. My Biceps sure feel yesterday's workout today. I can tell you that. Although that could be from me using a new Machine at the Y that works the Biceps. We also did a lot of Abdominal Work. I did my usual Gentle Yoga Class which I find very relaxing. I think I am ready for a little more intense Yoga Class. I am thinking about stepping it up a notch and doing the Regular/Normal Yoga Class. Gentle Yoga is a bit too easy. As for Stretch And Strength Class our regular Instructor was not there so it was taught by a new Instructor. She was good and really funny. When you walk into a Fitness Class the Instructor tells you what Equipment you will need. The sirens rang loud as I heard "stability balls and dumb bells". It's quite a workout using the Balls. Even lifting them during your workout is a workout. I had a minor incident involving those balls once and I never quite recovered from that. Fran On The Stability Ball Meets The Wall Here is the story of that incident. I had found a Video Tape at Goodwill once "Stability Ball Exercise Video" and thought that it would be cool to try it out as I had a Ball and now the Video Tape. I set the tape up and sat on the Ball and followed along. In an instant the Ball slipped out from underneath me and the ball went one way and I went the other and crashed into the wall. From then on I hadn't been on a Ball since. Actually yesterday was the first time I been on the Ball. Being short in stature I require a smaller ball. I know that now. Fitness Classes are fun to do. It's nice to workout with new people and doing something different. So my Thursday at the Y starts a little earlier. I am there at noon. Pilates 12:30-1:30 Yoga 2:30-3:30 Stretch Class 6:00-7:00 Karate 7:45-9:30 Between Pilates and Yoga I have something light to eat. Then I have a more substantial meal between Yoga and Stretch Class. That usually holds me until after Karate Class. I took with me some Celery and Peanut Butter yesterday and it tasted really great after Karate Class. Actually that tastes good all the time. But for some reason it was really awesome after Karate. Between the pauses I can find something to occupy my time with. Either working out, doing some Karate Practicing on my own, swimming, or even batting the Racquetball around in the courts.
