SPARRING

Now at Green Belt I get to do a lot more Sparring. Especially at 5th Kyu (2nd Level Green Belt). To be honest I am still relatively new to Sparring. Sparring is by no means easy when you start. And you most definitely will get hit. In my Dojo we practice CONTROL. Our Style (Wado Ryu Karate) is a great Style. Our main goal is to not hurt/maim/injure anyone. Our Goal is to Block/Counter and to try and get the Upper Hand to get away from the Danger. Wado Ryu is Peace and Harmony. Here are a few Tips Keep your hands up and closed in your Sparring Gloves Do 2-3 Combinations then get out When the Adrenaline is going full force keep it in check (our goal is not to hurt anyone) KEEP CONTROL Relax with no Tension in the body Try and do faints One thing to remember is to BREATHE.
